'Proud' Dean Henderson reveals Nottingham Forest priority after Brighton clash

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Dean Henderson was "so proud" of his teammates after they picked up a point against Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday evening.

The Reds lifted themselves off the foot of the Premier League table with a 0-0 draw on the south coast, with Henderson busier than he has been of late - but delighted to have been able to keep a clean sheet with goal difference so crucial at the bottom end of the table.

Brighton had 70 percent of the possession and registered 19 shots to Forest's three, highlight how resolute Henderson and his defenders had to be over the course of the evening. The performance gave plenty of positives for Steve Cooper to build on, and plenty of pride for Henderson to take away.

"It's important," Henderson told Amazon Prime after the match. "Every point is so valuable, especially to keep a clean sheet. Every boy out there was a warrior tonight. They ran their socks off.

"I'm so proud of the boys. We've conceded a lot of goals this season. The manager has talked about stopping that and building from a foundation.

"Last two games I've not been busy so to get a clean sheet is massive for confidence. For sure we're moving in the right direction. We're a better unit, working hard as a team and if we keep doing that goals will come."
