Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has taken to social media at half-time to praise his Magpies teammates after a debut goal from club-record signing Alexander Isak gave Eddie Howe's side the lead at Anfield against Liverpool.
Following the approval of his work permit, the Swede was eligible to make his United debut on Merseyside and made the perfect start, latching onto an excellent ball from Sean Longstaff to fire home cooly past Alisson.
Guimaraes, who missed the trip to Anfield through injury as well as the previous match against Wolves, is a major absentee for the North East outfit after his seriously impressive start to life at St.James' Park following his move from Lyon in January.

However, the 24-year-old took to Twitter during the interval to send a message of encouragement to his Newcastle teammates ahead of a big second half against Liverpool, something the Toon Army will be delighted to see from one of their star players.
The Brazilian tweeted: "What a pass from @seanlongstaff97! What a goal from isak! This is football!! So proud"
Howe's side have made an impressive start to the Premier League season, picking up six points from their opening four matches having yet to lose a match this campaign, and are looking to preserve their unbeaten start with a result at Anfield.
