Protests are underway outside the Chicago venue for the Democratic National Convention this week, as demonstrators express their dissatisfaction despite the party's positive response to Kamala Harris' nomination as the vice-presidential candidate.

The Coalition to March on the DNC, represented by spokesperson Hatem Abudayyeh, has been vocal about their stance that there is no discernible difference between Harris and Joe Biden. Their website indicates that the primary focus of the march is advocating for Palestine and calling for an end to US aid to Israel.

Although President Trump has expressed support for Israeli military actions in Gaza, protesters remain unconvinced that backing the Democratic Party will benefit Palestinians. They argue that supporting Democrats does not alleviate the suffering of Palestinians, with spokesperson Faayani Aboma Mijana stating, 'There is no lesser of two evils when the so-called lesser is aiding and abetting a genocide.'

Abudayyeh emphasized that the coalition will not bear any responsibility if Kamala Harris faces defeat in the election, underscoring their commitment to their cause.
