Protesters Rally In DC For Abortion Access And Gender Resources.

Abortion rights activists and counter protesters protest outside the U.S. Supreme Court, in Washington

Protesters gathered in Washington, DC on Saturday to advocate for abortion access and gender-related resources in response to President-elect Donald Trump’s electoral victory. The demonstration took place outside the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank known for publishing the policy blueprint Project 2025. Organized by the Women’s March, this event marked the first major protest in the nation’s capital since Trump’s win.

The spokesperson for Women’s March highlighted that the event aimed to build community and power following the 2024 election. Tamika Middleton, managing director of Women’s March, emphasized the message of hope and resilience, urging attendees to continue fighting for themselves and each other.
