Protesters have gathered in Tel Aviv, urging for the release of all hostages as mediators suggest that Hamas and Israel are closer to reaching an agreement than they have been in months. The demonstration took place at Begin Gate, where individuals blocked traffic and chanted slogans demanding the safe return of the hostages. Signs bearing images of the captives and messages such as 'Stop the bloody war' and 'Everyone is a humanitarian case' were prominently displayed.

The protest was orchestrated by the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, which disclosed that some of its representatives had a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem. Sharon Sharabi, brother of hostages Eli Sharabi and the late Yossi Sharabi, emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that time is running out for the hostages who have been held by Hamas for over 15 months.

Lishay Lavi Miran, wife of hostage Omri Miran, expressed determination, asserting that the protesters will persist until the safe return of all hostages is secured. She stressed the need for immediate agreements ensuring the release of all captives, highlighting the prolonged period of uncertainty faced by the families.

Currently, Hamas and its allies are holding 94 hostages taken from Israel on October 7, 2023, with at least 34 reported deceased by the Israeli government. However, the actual number of casualties is anticipated to be higher. Additionally, Hamas is detaining four hostages since 2014, two of whom have tragically passed away. Israeli officials anticipate the release of 33 hostages in the initial phase of a prospective deal.

Gil Dickmann, cousin of deceased hostage Carmel Gat, expressed concern over the lack of a comprehensive agreement guaranteeing the return of all hostages. He emphasized the community's desire to prevent further loss of life among the captives and underscored the importance of securing the safe release of all individuals held by Hamas.
