Propper insists 'we are doing our best' as Rangers star outlines Dundee frustration

Robin Propper has stressed that Rangers are a far superior team to the one that struggled to secure a 1-1 draw against Dundee, a result that has ramped up the pressure on manager Philippe Clement.

Rangers, who conceded within six minutes of kick-off, managed to equalise in the 34th minute through Vaclav Cerny, seconds after Dundee were controversially denied a penalty.

However, the Light Blues failed to build on any momentum. Instead, they were wasteful in possession, allowing the hosts several opportunities while struggling to carve open a resilient Dundee backline.

As the match concluded, Rangers found themselves 15 points adrift of Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic, which led to the traveling supporters expressing their frustration towards both Clement and the players as the prospects of closing the gap on their Old Firm rivals dimmed further.

“It’s difficult to say," the stand-in Rangers captain admitted. "We try really hard, everybody wants it.

“We want to take three points, we want to be happy and cheering with the fans, of course. They are there for us again in many ways. It’s hard to take, I don’t know, it’s difficult to say what’s happening.

“Of course, I’m frustrated as well. Everybody is frustrated because we want to win, we want to have the three points. And we are much better than this, I know that for sure.

“We need to find a solution. From everybody. Everybody wants it, everybody is talking to each other, doing the best they can.

“You’ve seen it in the second half, we can play football, we can drive the opponent back. In the end, it’s the details that make the difference. We have to win those games.”

Questioned on the speculation surrounding his manager's future at Ibrox, Propper said: “We are a team, we are together in this. That’s the only thing I can say about it.

“We are confident that we can get out of this situation, that we can win these away games. We are confident to react on this.

“We are doing our best and everybody is in this. We try to do everything to win this kind of game, the gaffer as well.”
