Property management firm is first tenant at new East Kilbride industrial estate

A property management firm is expanding its operation with a new East Kilbride base.

Knight Property Group confirmed it has secured its first tenant for Langlands Commercial Park.

Strachan and Kemp Commercial Services Ltd has signed a 10-year lease on Unit J, which comprises 2500 sq ft of industrial space, a small office and associated car parking.

The unit also benefits from 6.74m eaves height and electric roller shutter doors.

Strachan and Kemp provide the complete contractor solution to commercial property clients.

This includes regular contract work, maintenance, refurbishment, dilapidations, cleaning, ground maintenance, waste services, along with on-call emergency repairs.

The new base at Langlands will be the company headquarters and the main focus for further business growth throughout Scotland and beyond.

Steven Smernicki, managing director of Strachan and Kemp said: “We have enjoyed rapid growth in the demand for our services over recent years and moving into this brand new unit is a huge milestone for our business.

"We have undertaken the fit out of the unit, which will accommodate our expanding team and enable us to continue to grow and support our clients, as we continue to expand our geographical base beyond Scotland.”

Howard Crawshaw, managing director of Knight Property Group, added: “This is a further boost for the park, with strong interest in the remaining units.

"We remain committed to the investment and speculative development of quality industrial and logistics space across the central belt of Scotland.”

Langlands Commercial Park (Phase 1) is a new 10-unit speculative industrial development facility, located within the well-established Kelvin South and Langlands industrial areas of East Kilbride, next to Sainsbury’s logistics facility.
