A Nottinghamshire pub described as 'proper' and 'friendly' by customers has been put up for sale for £42,500. The leasehold for the Dixies Arms in Bagthorpe was listed on property website Rightmove.

The pub, situated in Lower Bagthorpe, is available on a rolling renewable three-year lease. It is described as friendly unspoilt 18th Century brick local with DH Lawrence connections by the Good Pub Guide.

"Beams and tiled floors, well kept Greene King Abbot, Timothy Taylors Landlord and a guest, no food, entrance bar with tiny snug, good fire in small part-panelled parlour's fine fireplace, longer narrow room with toby jugs, darts and dominoes," it continues. "Live music Sat, quiz night Sun, beer/folk festival June; children and dogs welcome, picnic-sets out at front, big garden and play area behind, open all day."
