Since the rise of the #MeToo movement, several male celebrities in the music and film industries have faced criminal charges for sexual misconduct. Here is a summary of some of the most notable cases:

Harvey Weinstein

The former movie mogul faced charges in both New York and California after numerous women accused him of sexual assault. In a recent Los Angeles case, Weinstein was convicted of raping and sexually assaulting an Italian actor and model. However, he was acquitted of a sexual battery allegation and a mistrial was declared on other counts. In New York, Weinstein was initially convicted but his conviction was overturned, and a retrial is pending.

Bill Cosby

The former 'Cosby Show' star was arrested in 2015 and later convicted of sexual assault. However, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned his conviction in 2021. Cosby has been accused by over 60 women but denies all allegations.

R. Kelly

The Grammy-winning artist was convicted in federal cases in Chicago and New York for producing child sexual abuse materials and sex trafficking. He received lengthy prison sentences in both cases for sexually abusing young fans.

Sean “Diddy” Combs

The hip-hop mogul faces federal racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges for allegedly inducing individuals into drug-fueled sexual performances. He could face at least 15 years in prison if convicted.

Kevin Spacey

The Oscar-winning actor was acquitted of sexual assault charges in London. Spacey has faced multiple allegations but has defended himself against them.

Cuba Gooding Jr.

The Oscar-winning actor pleaded guilty to forcibly kissing a worker in a New York nightclub. He apologized for similar behavior involving other women.

Danny Masterson

The 'That '70s Show' star was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for raping two women. Masterson used his prominence in the Church of Scientology to avoid consequences for years.
