Projecting Jets inactives for Week 6 vs. Packers

With the Jets calling up two players, Mike Remmers and Kenny Yeboah, from the practice squad, the Jets will have to name seven players as inactive for Sunday’s game against the Packers.

One of those players is already known: defensive end Jermaine Johnson, who is out with an ankle injury. Here’s a guess at who the other six will be, along with Johnson.

Projected Week 6 inactives

DL Jermaine Johnson
QB Mike White
WR Denzel Mims
CB Bryce Hall
S Tony Adams
TE Jeremy Ruckert
OT Conor McDermott

Ruckert likely becomes a healthy scratch again, like he was at the beginning of the season, with the Jets promoting Yeboah. The Jets aren’t going to call him up from the practice squad just to make him inactive and the Jets won’t have four tight ends dress, so Ruckert gets the inactive call.

The McDermott projection is based on the Jets perhaps feeling more likely to roll with recently signed Ogbuehi, who was signed partly due to the struggles of McDermott, as well as the growing number of injuries along the offensive line. The Jets could go the other way and make Ogbuehi inactive.
