Philadelphia 76ers executive Daryl Morey got his wish by trading away Ben Simmons, landing superstar guard James Harden from the Brooklyn Nets.
Harden, a ten-time NBA All-Star who won the league’s Most Valuable Player in 2019, had the best years of his career when Morey was creating the roster around him on the Houston Rockets.
Even though Harden has had some truly excellent teammates surrounding him over the years, he has never played alongside a big man as dominant as Joel Embiid.
Considering this was a midseason trade, the two players will have to figure out their chemistry on the fly. However, they are incredibly gifted players and will have plenty of time to make it work before the postseason.
