A programme to help South Lanarkshire youngsters find employment has launched this month.
Street League uses the power of sport to tackle poverty and give young people the opportunities they need to succeed in life and the workplace.
Taking place at Hamilton Fives, those attending are supported from school to the world of work and is open to people aged between 16 and 30.
The national initiative aims to help the UK's most disadvantaged communities as staff help youngsters to overcome their practical and personal barriers in order to be better prepared to seek employment.
The sessions are split in two sections with the first half consisting of employability workshops where young people can work on interview skills and job searches.
And the remainder of the sessions is spent playing games outdoors and taking part in football at Hamilton Fives.
Those attending can gain SQA qualifications and boost their employment prospects.
These include an employability qualification as well as a wellbeing qualification.
During the sessions, locals will be given support on updating their CV as well as college applications. In addition they will be given one-to-one support and help on building a routine to get ready for work or college.
Street League in Hamilton has proved to be a great success in recent years and it takes place a number of times each year.
The programme runs in 10-week blocks and usually stops for around three weeks before starting again - the last of these finished in December 2021.
The current Street League sessions launched in January and run every Monday to Thursday between 9.30am and 12pm.
All sessions will adhere to social distancing regulations.
Participants from all over South Lanarkshire are welcomed, with those who live slightly further away given travel expenses to attend.
Young people who are not on benefits will receive £55 per week for their participation in the programme.
