Producer Sean Stone, Known For Action Films, Dies At 31

Michael Douglas is an American actor and film producer

Sean Stone, a talented producer known for his work on action films featuring Hollywood stars Bruce Willis and John Travolta, has tragically passed away at the young age of 31. Stone's family confirmed that he succumbed to metastatic neuroendocrine cancer of the colon on Tuesday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Originally from New Jersey, Stone pursued his passion for filmmaking after graduating from the University of Arizona. In 2017, he made the move to Los Angeles to kickstart his career in the entertainment industry. Stone began his journey at CAA, where he honed his skills working under industry veterans Dave Bugliari and Jack Whigham. He later transitioned to Emmett/Furla in 2020, initially serving as an assistant before establishing himself as a sought-after executive producer on various movie projects.

Throughout his career, Stone made significant contributions to the film industry, serving as a creative executive on several notable features released in 2022. His impressive portfolio includes projects such as 'Hot Seat,' an action thriller starring Kevin Dillon and Mel Gibson; 'Wrong Place,' featuring Willis and Ashley Greene; and 'Wire Room,' which showcased the talents of Willis and Dillon.

Stone's dedication and hard work propelled him to new heights, leading him to produce 'Cash Out,' a film headlined by John Travolta set for release in April, as well as an upcoming sequel. Beyond his professional endeavors, Stone had a wide range of interests, including painting, sports, hibachi, music, and a love for Shark Week.

Sean Stone is survived by his loving parents, David and Ileen; his siblings, Ashley, Justin, Michael, Mallory, and Brian; brother-in-law Thomas Smith; sisters-in-law Christine Stone and Jenna Yeo; and nieces Ella and Sloane. His untimely passing has left a void in the entertainment community, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
