Process Ukrainian visas as if they are PPE contracts

There is a marked contrast between the lack of due diligence over the awarding of PPE contracts in 2020 and the overcaution and delays when issuing visas to Ukrainian refugees (UK ministers considering climbdown on Ukraine visa restrictions, 9 March). Time for the prime minister to put his money where his mouth is and direct the Home Office to sort out its processes and logistics. Emergency visas need as much haste as obtaining PPE.
