Pro poker player accused of using 'hidden vibrating device' to help her win $130,000

A pro poker player has been accused of using a 'hidden vibrating device' to help her win a whopping $130,000 jackpot.

Poker newbie Robbi Jade Lew, 35, was taking part in the Hustler Casino Live tournament, which was being streamed across the world, when she beat her acclaimed opponent Garrett Adelstein.

Garrett, 36, has sinced claimed Robbi may have cheated by using a 'device hidden that simply vibrates to indicate you have the best hand.'

Robbi, however, hit back at the allegations and said he 'threatened' her in a 'dark hallway' after being led out the poker hall.

She said: "Garrett blocked me. Guilty as charged. What an honest man. He cornered me & threatened me.

"If he has the audacity to give me the death stare ON camera, picture what it’s like OFF camera."

Garrett, from Arizona, regularly plays at the 24-hour Hustler Casino in California and was playing a Texas hold'em game when Robbi caused a giant upset.

The poker newbie made a bold decision to go all-in - even though she had a poor hand.

Commentators were left baffled after believing the odds were against her.

Online betting casino DraftKings confirmed there were 150 ways for Robbi to lose - and only 6 ways to win - which she went on to do.

Garrett made Robbi go all in with her $130,000 hand and was left in shock after her cards were shown to have a 'Jack high'.

She won the game and the entire winnings of $269,000 (£242,000).

In the highly tense game, Garett needed a club, six or a jack - with Robbi's jack winning the hand.

Garrett can be seen visibly angry and upset after losing the hand.

He said: "I don't understand what's happening right now."

Robbi responded: "'You look like you want to kill me. I thought you had ace high."

He replied: "So, why call with jack high?" as the high jack would have lost to ace high.

She replied: "Because you don't have s**t!" as Garrett stood up furiously and immediately left the table.

Robbi said her tactic was to think her cards were worse than his as she wrote on Twitter : "Get over it."

However, Garrett posted on social media to suggest Robbi offered to give back the money he lost - which he thought was a sign of guilt.

He also looked at some of her previous moves and suggested someone may have 'cheat' by using a 'device hidden that simply vibrates to indicate you have the best hand.'

Garrett has failed to provide any evidence Robbi cheated or was helped with a device.

Hustler Casino Live co-founder Nick Vertucci believes Robbi is a newbie to poker and would have simply misread the hand.

He said: "'There's no possibility that there's anything that could be cheating goes. We've checked everything."

Garrett, who has been playing poker for over a decade, is known for his large and often aggressive wagers.

He featured in 2013, CBS' Survivor: Cagayan and appeared on live poker shows in 2017.

Robbi, however, is a relative newcomer by Garrett's standards as she only took up poker after covid.

Prior to that, she had worked for pharmaceutical company Bayer in a senior role.

Hustler Casino confirmed both players will not be invited on again until the dispute has been investigated and settled.
