POLICE are currently in attendance at a Glasgow city centre building amid an ongoing incident.
Officers were called to 58 Waterloo Street in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
It is believed that the building is currently occupied by insurance company Allianz.
A police presence remains outside and the area has been taped off.
A window has been shattered and the words "drop Elbit" have been written on the walls in red spray paint.
It has been confirmed that pro-Palestine group Palestine Action were behind the incident due to the links Allianz have with Israel.
A spokesperson for Palestine Action said: “Palestine Action’s campaign to remove Israel's weapons trade from Britain will continue to use the necessary means, direct action, against Elbit and the companies that aid, abet, and profit from the slaughter of Palestinians.
"As Allianz prioritises the value of profits over the lives of Palestinians, we will ensure they lose more than they gain by working with the Israeli weapons maker. ”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.40am on Tuesday, January 28, we received a report of vandalism at a business premises on Waterloo Street in Glasgow.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
Allianz has been approached for comment.
