Prisoners 'smoke lingerie soaked in Spice' like something from TV show 'Bad Girls'
A prison where a number of inmates are from Merseyside is believed to have stopped allowing parcels and letters in after prisoners were reportedly "smoking" lingerie that had been soaked in the synthetic drug spice.
Inmates at HMP Styal, a women's only jail on Cheshire, have received parcels and letters containing underwear which has been soaked with the liquid form of spice, with prisoners then reportedly ripping the knickers and underwear into pieces before smoking them.

A source at HMP Styal compared it to the TV show Bad Girls. They told the Mirror: "You couldn’t make it up. It’s like something from the TV series Bad Girls.” The Independent Monitoring Board confirmed: “The prison has banned incoming parcels to prisoners as a security measure.
“This has caused real distress to many, particularly those on long-term and life sentences. There have been concerns raised about the limited range of sizes, especially with regard to underwear. The alternatives provided, e.g. access to the prison shop and a limited supply of catalogues, do not meet the needs of many prisoners.”

Liverpool fans to launch legal action after Champions League final disgrace
As many as 5,000 Liverpool fans are set to launch legal action against UEFA following the chaos that unfolded at the Champions League final earlier this year.
Supporters are reportedly lodging a group legal claim worth up to £5m, with more than 1,200 Liverpool fans already asking to join. The action is expected to be submitted within weeks.
It is also expected that at least another 1,000 Liverpool fans are expected to join, with claimants including fans who suffered injuries in attacks by local gangs before and after the match which took place at the Stade de France on May 28 and those who were tear-gassed by French police.
Some claimants also include those who were crushed due to the actions of police officers as well as victims of sexual assault and robbery during the traumatic scenes that took place as ticket-holding fans were locked out of the stadium as Real Madrid beat Liverpool 1-0 in the capital.
Gerard Long, managing director of Liverpool-based law firm Binghams Solicitors leading the case, said: “There were 20,000 Liverpool tickets sold. We’re hoping to get 5,000 claimants, but it could be around the 2,000 to 3,000 mark.
“I think we’re looking at between £1,000 and £1,500 a client.”

Drug dealer who taunted police linked to gun used in spate of shootings
A drug dealer who taunted police while leading officers on a motorbike chase has previous convictions relating to a gun used in a spate of shootings.
Peter Stevens was jailed earlier this week after he nearly ran over a pedestrian and officers while taunting police saying "I smoked yous", with the incident coming just two weeks after he was freed from a 22-month prison sentence for supplying cannabis.
The 25-year-old's criminal record dates further back than that. In 2015, a teen at the time, he was one of four men locked up for a total of 25 years when Merseyside Police discovered a gun used in a series of shootings in Old Swan.
The find was made as part of Operation Balhamm which was set up after firearms were discovered in a property on Dartmouth Drive in Netherton in January of that year.
