Authorities have charged a man with murder following the suspicious death of a prisoner at a Queensland correctional centre.
Detectives from the Corrective Services Investigation Unit on Friday charged a 34-year-old prisoner at the Woodford Correctional Centre, north of Brisbane.
The murder charge was laid after a 42-year-old man was found unresponsive in his cell with serious injuries on February 2.
The 34-year-old accused is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday.
