The Kardashian family almost looked very different following the breakdown of Elvis and Priscilla Presley's marriage.
The King and Priscilla tied the knot in a secret Las Vegas ceremony in 1967, after meeting eight years earlier when Priscilla was 14 and Elvis was in his 20s.
Priscilla gave birth to their daughter Lisa Marie Presley a year after they married, but their relationship ultimately broke down in 1973.
A few years later, Priscilla met lawyer Robert Kardashian who had recently split from his then-girlfriend Kris Jenner.
Robert and Priscilla met through his brother Tom Kardashian who was dating Joan Esposito, the ex-wife of Elvis' road manager.
The pair instantly hit it off, with Kris noting in her autobiography that they had been "smitten" with one another.
Not long after meeting, Priscilla and Robert soon moved in together.
Kris was "bummed" that Robert and Priscilla had hit it off and she wasn't the only one, with Elvis thought to be unhappy about their relationship.
Kris wrote: "I was living in a flight attendants’ dormitory in Fort Worth, bummed that Kardashian was going to end up with Priscilla Presley.
"She was gorgeous, of course, petite and perfect and beautiful and famous. I would see pictures of her and just die. Any woman would be thrilled to look like Priscilla Presley."
According to Jerry Oppenheimer’s book The Kardashians: an American Drama, Elvis would often call Priscilla when she was in bed with Robert.
The legendary musician ended up coming between Priscilla and Robert.
With the lawyer ready to take the next step and marry Priscilla, she told him she was not going to marry anyone else until Elvis died.
Robert's friend Joni Migdal told Jerry that Robert had wanted to turn Elvis' ex-wife into the "perfect Armenian housewife".
"Priscilla once tried to make dinner for Robert because he kept asking her," Joni said.
"She cooked asparagus, and she made this, and she made that. She went out of her way to make it perfect for him, and he hated it."
Robert eventually reconciled his relationship with Kris, proposing two years later.
The pair got married in 1968 and went on to have four children together - Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob.
