Princess Kate has long been hailed as a style icon, opting for a classic style by day and a glamorous vibe by night.
But over the years there's been a marked shift in her look, with the Princess of Wales switching things up while rising through the ranks from royal girlfriend to future Queen.
The hot pants and sparkly mini dresses of her twenties gave way to youthful knee-skimming dresses in her early thirties.
But at 41, Kate has once again changed things up, embracing more mature silhouettes and updating her casual wardrobe with on-trend trouser suits and power outfits befitting a monarch-to-be.
Lightbulb personal stylist Lindsay Edwards says Kate has made three big changes that have transformed her look.
"Kate is consistently known for her classic, timeless outfit choices which always fall neatly inline with strict royal protocol," Lindsay told The Mirror.
Noting how the mother-of-three has always gravitated towards 'a very British heritage feel' characterised by Breton stripes, tweed blazers, wax jackets and wellington boots, Lindsay says her wardrobe has recently undergone a major overhaul.
The major change has been in the trousers she chooses. For years, Kate plumped for trendy skinny jeans, but in more recent times she's embraced a more fashion-forward look.
Lindsay said: "For many years Kate had been a fan of skinny trousers. However, she has recently transitioned over to trousers with a slightly wider leg which feels much more current and highlight her neat waist."
Secondly, Kate has strayed away from her trusty fit and flare frocks and nude pumps combo, opting for midi dresses with a more tailored look.
"Again, this feels a much more modern choice and encapsulates the elegant look which suits her so well," said Lindsay.
And thirdly, Kate has become more experimental with the colours she wears, rocking a rainbow of hues.
"Kate is also embracing far bolder colours nowadays which is fabulous to see!" Linsday added.
"She used to have a tendency to opt for clothes in neutral colours which sometimes felt rather bland.
"Naturally, Kate has a very striking look due to the high contrast between her dark hair and bright eyes, so she can enjoy wearing bold colours without fear of them washing her out."
