Princess Kate reveals to Adam Lambert that son George loves Queen after Jubilee performance

Prince George has developed a royal passion for the legendary rock band Queen, his mother Princess Kate has revealed.

The 10-year-old heir to the throne was reportedly captivated by Brian May and co's performance at the late Queen Elizabeth II's platinum jubilee celebrations in 2022.

According to The Sun, the young prince has been enjoying the band's back catalogue since watching May, Roger Taylor and Adam Lambert perform "We Will Rock You" outside Buckingham Palace.

Princess Kate shared that George is particularly fond of "We are the Champions" and hopes to be singing along triumphantly this Sunday when England face Spain in the European Championship final.

Despite initial confusion about the band's lineup, George's newfound appreciation has delighted Queen's current frontman, Adam Lambert.

“It was such an honour,” Lambert said after meeting Princess Kate at the Westminster Abbey’s Christmas carol service.

“She was absolutely lovely and down to earth and charming.”

The Princess reportedly shared details of George's growing interest in the group, despite the band hitting their peak decades before the young prince's birth in 2013.

Should England emerge victorious in Sunday's Euro 2024 final, the royal household might well be queuing up "We Are the Champions". The young prince's enthusiasm for both Queen and football suggests a lively celebration could be in store at Kensington Palace.

The youngster has been seen alongside his dad Prince William, the chairman of the FA, on visits to Wembley to see the Three Lions and Aston Villa.

Lambert added: “She was talking about her son recalling the performance with the Queen at the Palace for the Platinum Jubilee two years before.

“She was, like, he said, ‘Oh is Adam going to play his guitar?’.

“She said, ‘I think he was confused who was playing guitar and who was who but he remembered who you were.’ I was like, ‘Oh, that is cute’.

“You could tell she really wanted to take a second to connect to say thanks.”

Lambert is also a solo star in his own right and is releasing an EP next week called Afters.
