Princess Kate has managed to make quite the name for herself as a style icon despite being a senior member of the royal family and that power comes with an extensive wardrobe of show-stopping outfits.
The 41-year-old royal likes to experiment with different colours and styles with there being very few looks or shades that the Princess of Wales hasn't been seen wearing.
From cobalt and pastel blue frocks to rich red and fuschia pink evening gowns, there are not many fashion styles the gorgeous mum-of-three cannot pull off.
According to celebrity stylist and royal fashion expert Miranda Holder (@TheMirandaHolder), Kate's ability to look great in an array of looks is all down to one simple "styling tip".
The specialist claims that the Princess' secret is almost always dressing in her "season", the Express reports.
Each person can be matched to a "skin season" which is determined by the tone of their complexion and their hair and eye colour, according to the specialist.
Kate has a "cool" and fair skin tone which changes from yellow to pink, warm brown hair and hazel-green eyes.
Miranda explained: "There is a lot of debate about Kate’s colouring but she is actually a true ‘autumn’ skin tone."
"She looks great in rich, warm tones such as egg yolk yellow and scarlet red, but thanks in part to her dedicated glam squad, she looks great in a range of colours as they know how to compensate if a tone is slightly less flattering.
"This is a styling tip we can all take from Kate - knowing which colours suit you best, then learning how to get away with wearing the colours that don’t."
As a "true autumn", the Princess of Wales' go-to-colour palette mainly consists of golden, earthy and fiery shades.
This is reflected in her wardrobe by her usual choice of warm greens, golden yellows and browns and orangey reds.
While the colour chart associated with Kate's personal complexion does not favour pure white shades, the royal "compensates" for this with her hair, makeup, and accessories.
Kate stepped out in a stunning white Polka dot gown for the Order of the Garter procession last month which she paired with dark pink lipstick and brown eyeshadow to add warmth and richness to her look.
In terms of accessories, she wore a pair of neutral pearl drop earrings in a flattering off-white colour.
Although the Princess was not wearing her complimentary colours, her choice of accessories made her complexion glow just as much as she would have had she been wearing a mustard yellow or mellow brown outfit.
When the royal does wear her 'best colours', it's clear that her makeup and jewels are more diminished.
For example, her gorgeous statement red Alexander McQueen gown at the Royal Ascot last month spoke for itself.
The stylish royal completed her look with nude lipstick and subtle bronzed makeup for the summer occasion.
She wore a pair of bold gold earrings but kept the rest of the outfit very tonal and minimal compared to when she dresses outside of her seasonal palette.
