Princess Eugenie and family 'move to Portugal after exciting offer from millionaire'

Princess Eugenie has reportedly moved out of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 's home due to a life-changing offer to live in Portugal.

She and her husband Jack Brooksbank, 36, are said to be splitting time between London and the exclusive CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club south of Lisbon.

The move is claimed to have been spurred by Jack landing a new job with Mike Meldrum, a businessman who is friends with George Clooney, for the 300-home private resort that is currently under development.

The 32-year-old princess and Jack, who are parents to one-year-old August, have been living at Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate - the UK home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Mirror reports.

According to The Sun, Harry and Meghan have renewed their lease on the cottage, sparking speculation they may want to spend more time in the UK.

And now the Telegraph reports that when in the UK, Eugenie and Jack will now use Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace as a base, with Eugenie carrying out her job at art gallery Hauser & Wirth on a hybrid basis.

A source told the newspaper: "Jack is now working for Mike Meldrum and they are splitting their time between Portugal and London.

"It's a very exciting time for them."

Jack's new role is said to be in sales, marketing and promotion.

He had previously worked for the tequila brand Casamigos, which was jointly owned by Mr Meldrum, George Clooney and Randy Gerber, the husband of supermodel Cindy Crawford. It is now owned by drinks giant Diageo.

It appears Princess Eugenie has stayed close to her cousin Prince Harry after the two were seen attending the Super Bowl in LA this past February.

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan had been expected to let the Frogmore Cottage lease expire after they left the UK for America, but they reportedly committed to a new 12-month rolling deal last month.

Royal insiders believe the move could mean that the Sussexes plan to spend more time in Windsor.

One insider told the Sun: "It is quite a signal that they aren’t going to disappear. They could easily give up Frogmore as their life'ss now in California.

"By agreeing to extend the lease, and with Jack and Eugenie focusing on Portugal, they have a firm presence smack bang in the middle of the Windsor court where it's all happening. They can now come and go any time they please.

"The coming year could be one of the most tumultuous in royal history and the Sussexes are making sure they have a foothold in Windsor."

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "Frogmore Cottage remains the UK home of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex."
