Princess Charlotte steals hearts with 'priceless' reaction to Paddington Bear Queen tribute

Royal fans had their hearts stolen by adorable Princess Charlotte tonight with her "priceless" reaction at a Paddington Bear tribute to the late Queen during the royal Christmas carol service.

Kate Middleton led the Together at Christmas carol concert at London’s Westminster Abbey, which aired on ITV on Christmas Eve, after being recorded on December 15.

This year, the special service was dedicated to Queen Elizabeth II, as the Royal family spend their first Christmas without the late monarch.

The Princess of Wales was joined by her husband, Prince William, as well as their two eldest children, Prince George, nine, and Princess Charlotte, seven. King Charles III, the Queen Consort and other members of the Firm also attended the service.

One particular moment of the carol service stole the hearts of thousands of viewers, as the seven-year-old's face lit up during the Paddington Bear tribute to the late Queen.

Actor Hugh Bonneville, from the Paddington films, was one of many celebrity guests at the carol.

As he stood in front of a tree with tiny little plushes of the marmalade-loving bear adorning it, he read an extract from one of Michael Bond's books about the beloved bear.

Viewers have taken to social media to comment how they saw Charlotte's face light up with excitement as she recognised his voice.

She is then seen turning her head briskly towards her mum as she mumbles something at her, while she continues grinning.

Kate then lovingly smiles at her daughter, as the pair share a delightful moment together.

One person on the social media site wrote: "I don't cope well at Christmas and usually shed a lot of tears but it did warm my heart seeing little Princess Charlotte singing happily away and getting excited over the letter from Paddington Bear.

"Thank you Charlotte for making me smile."

While a fourth wrote: "A Christmas letter from Paddington Bear! The look on Princess Charlotte’s face was just adorable. At last it feel like Christmas."

And another said: "Charlottes face when shes getting excited about paddington bear is so precious."

Hugh read the 'Christmas Letter' to the congregation from Paddington's Christmas Post, as music played int he background.

He begun by saying: "Dear Aunt Lucy, Today it was Christmas Day, and something wonderful happened!

"You'll never believe it but Mr Claus gave me a ginormous jar of homemade marmalade. I couldn't think how he guessed it was my favourite kind."

The seven year old was also filmed sitting next to her brother in front row, as they sung along heartily to Away in a Manger.

Prior to the event, the siblings were filmed holding candles at the service as they wore matching outfits with their parents.

Princess Charlotte was dressed in a smart burgundy coat and furred collar with her hair clipped back, as she matched her mum who also wore the stylish burgundy for the occasion.

George also appeared as a mini William, wearing a smart suit with a navy and white tie.

Their younger brother, Prince Louis, four, did not attend the service this year.

Paddington Bear became a totem for the Queen following her passing in September, as one of her last public appearances was in a heartwarming sketch with him for her Platinum Jubilee.

Mourners left so many stuffed toys, as well as the character's beloved marmalade sandwiches, amid the floral tributes around Buckingham Palace and her other royal residences.
