Princess Charlotte's favourite snack costs 65p in Aldi

Princess Charlotte's favourite snack has been revealed - and you can buy it in Aldi for 65p.

Over the years, the Royal family's eating habits have come to light. Earlier this month, reports suggested the Princess of Wales starts her day with oats and a breakfast drink containing kale, spinach and spirulina.

While the Queen Consort is said to enjoy a simple delicacy. When asked what her favourite dish is, she replied: "Beans on toast" - but they have to be Heinz baked beans.

However, when she was younger, Princess Charlotte had rather unusual taste and would regularly eat a fancy snack, according to MyLondon. Kate Middleton revealed a few years back that Princess Charlotte 'loves olives.'

Although this is a rather strange snack to have for a child, since olives have an acquired bitter taste, the Princess of Wales did admit that Prince George and Charlotte, now aged nine and seven respectively, also like normal tea-time foods such as cheesy pasta. Olives have a very pungent taste and come in a wide range of flavours, but they can be bought at supermarkets such as Aldi for 65p.

Princess Charlotte isn't the only royal who has a strange food palette. The Princess Royal has a rather unusual meal when it comes to her breakfast, and it might explain why she works so hard during royal functions. Princess Anne reportedly has blackened bananas for her morning meals, according to former royal chef Darren McGrady.

He previously spoke to TODAY and revealed: "Princess Anne almost always preferred her bananas almost black - overripe - because they digest easier."
