Princess Charlotte is often known to be one of the most amusing of Prince William and Kate Middleton's children, displaying some humorous and cheeky gestures in the past that have left people with a smile on their face.
While her age can be dismissed for many of these, Kate was left red-faced by one gesture three years ago. The seven-year-old is said to be outspoken by her two brothers, something many of us can no doubt relate to.
But in one of her rare public outings alongside William and Kate, Charlotte indulged in some very cheeky behaviour that left her mum shocked. In 2019, the family attended a sailing regatta on the Isle of Wight, alongside Kate's grandparents Carole and Michael Middleton, the Mirror reports.

The then four-year-old and Kate looked out of a window with Kate waving to people that were stood below them. But rather than follow her mum's lead, she stuck her tongue out, much to Kate's disapproval.
Despite giggling and continuing to smile, Kate didn't seem overly impressed with the gesture. She then leaned over towards Charlotte and uttered a comment before turning her away from the window to make her stop and ushered her on.
Three years later, Charlotte has made many more public appearances, and at most of them has charmed the crowd with her sassy attitude. Something that has also been noted time and again is how Charlotte appears to be far more confident than her more reserved elder brother.
The difference between George and Princess Charlotte has been spotted by many, including their own mother and great-grandmother. The Duchess of Cambridge spoke about her two eldest children at an engagement and revealed that Princess Charlotte is certainly the one in charge. A mum who spoke to the Duchess told reporters: "She said that Charlotte is growing up really fast. She is the one in charge."
The mum continued: "We have both got 2-year-olds and they are ruling the roost. It was a bit of a mummy chat. [She said] they are both becoming really good friends, Prince George and Princess Charlotte."
