Princess Charlotte quick to remind Prince George of protocol during Queen's funeral

Princess Charlotte was caught on camera reminding Prince George of royal protocol as the pair attended their great-grandmother's funeral on Monday.

The youngest royals to attend the service for Queen Elizabeth II, the nine and seven-year-old were seen accompanied by their parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, as the family paid their respects.

While the children's younger brother, Prince Louis, was left at home, the pair had walked beside Prince William and Kate as they headed into Westminster Abbey.

Following a service that was watched around the world, the Queen's coffin, which had been lying in state in both Edinburgh and London, was taken onto Windsor.

However, as the coffin passed the royal family, the Mirror reports that Princess Charlotte could be seen reminding her older brother on what they needed to do.

Whispering to Prince George, Charlotte had appeared to say "you need to bow" when the Queen's coffin came past them.

Charlotte then brought back memories of her great-grandmother as she pointed with her finger, just like the Queen used to do.

George did follow his sister's advice as he was seen bowing his head as a sign of respect to Her Majesty when her coffin began to drive off.

Many royal fans took to Twitter to praise the two young royals for how they conducted themselves during the funeral.

One viewer said: "Well done to George & Charlotte who behaved impeccably. Proud to be #British"

"Prince George and Princess Charlotte setting the example of kids participating in the service :-)," added another.

A third agreed: "George and Charlotte are actually so adorable, my heart"

"Prince George and Princess Charlotte are a credit to their parents. At nine and seven year old to sit still and quietly for that long…well I’m 38 and I’d struggle without fidgeting," tweeted a fourth.
