Princess Charlotte may not take any future royal titles as she could become a "working woman", an expert has claimed.
The daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales was born with her princess title along with her HRH status.
Traditionally, royals are given additional titles as they get older and marry, with her parents becoming the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their wedding day in 2011.
It has been speculated that when Charlotte is older, possibly when her dad Prince William is King, she could be given the title Princess Royal.
But former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has questioned whether this would happen in the "modern era" and noted the Princess could become a "working woman" instead.
Speaking to O K!, she explained: "I think we will be in a very modern era when the time comes. I question whether Charlotte will want to be burdened with more titles. She might be a working woman by then. Things could change so much in the next generation.
"The natural option it would seem to me is that she might become Princess Royal. That's the much more traditional route that the eldest daughter becomes Princess Royal so if I was going to put money on it, it would probably be that.
"But I also think that she might just feel she wants to remain as just Princess Charlotte. We've got William and Catherine who quite often tell the public to call them by their first names, so maybe their daughter will follow suit.
"Perhaps Charlotte will not even use the princess title by the time she's grown up and definitely won't want to be burdened with more titles."
The former correspondent's comments come as another expert claimed Charlotte is becoming the 'stand-out star' of the Royal Family after her appearances over the Coronation weekend.
Across the three-day celebrations, the eight-year-old shone in the spotlight and helped her siblings navigate their way in the public eye.
Judi James told the Mirror that Charlotte exhibited her role as "royal prefect" when she showed Prince George how to wave his flag and ensure that he was paying attention to their dad's speech at the Coronation concert.
The expert said that numerous body language signs have indicated Charlotte is naturally falling into the leading role among her two brothers George and Prince Louis.
She said: "Charlotte's deep, perfect curtsey as the King walked past in the royal box was only one body language sign that she is becoming a stand-out star of the royal firm.
"She snapped into duty as royal prefect as soon as she sat down, waving her bangle and her flag at her brother George to show him how he should use them during the concert."
