Princess Charlotte has expensive taste and loves 'borrowing' Kate's sunglasses

As a young girl, there's arguably nothing more exciting than having a snoop through your mum's wardrobe and jewellery collection, and trying things on for yourself.

But, we can only imagine that excitement is multiplied by 100, when your mum is the Duchess of Cambridge and will one day be Queen.

Princess Charlotte might be royalty, but just like every other six year old she loves playing dress up in mum Kate's things, and regularly drives her mad by helping herself to certain items.

Charlotte, who is fast taking after her mum for her love of fashion and sport, is said to be "obsessed" with sunglasses, and often takes Kate's.

An insider told Life & Style : "When Kate can’t find a pair, they’ll often be found in Charlotte’s bedroom. Charlotte already has a little collection of high street kids sunglasses at home."

Not only that, Charlotte is said to have "very expensive taste" when it comes to style - although we'd have thought that was part and parcel of being a royal.

An insider previously told the publication that Kate bought her daughter a Disney tiara to keep her happy, but "she prefers the real deal and made Kate promise to give it to her in the future."

According to the Daily Star, Charlotte has also taken after her mother when it comes to her interest in sports, as well as fashion.

The royal insider said: "Swimming, tennis and horse riding are her favourites. Kate is teaching Charlotte how to play hockey in the garden. Princess Charlotte can’t wait to play rugby when she’s a little older! Prince George is already giving her a few tips but he’s more interested in football."
