Princess Anne, the sister of King Charles III, has been hospitalized as a precaution after she sustained minor injuries and a concussion in an incident at her home, Buckingham Palace has confirmed. The 73-year-old princess was walking near horses on her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire, western England, when the incident occurred.

While the exact cause of the injuries has not been officially confirmed, Princess Anne's medical team has indicated that her head injuries are consistent with a potential impact from a horse's head or legs. Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the estate, and after receiving initial medical care on-site, she was transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for further tests, treatment, and observation.

In a statement released on Monday, Buckingham Palace announced, 'The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening. Her Royal Highness remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery.'

King Charles III has been closely informed about his sister's condition and has extended his love and well-wishes for her speedy recovery. Princess Anne, known for her passion for horse riding and having competed in Equestrian events at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, is reportedly recovering well in the hospital.

As per the royal source, Princess Anne's upcoming engagements have been postponed based on her doctors' advice. Anne, the second of Queen Elizabeth II's four children, is the younger sister of King Charles and is followed by Princes Andrew and Edward.
