Prince William makes adorable comment to fans about wife Kate Middleton

Prince William and Kate Middleton delighted royal fans by conducting their first walkabout since the pandemic during a trip to Wales.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spoke to fans who had gathered outside at a market in Abergavenny that the couple were visiting, writes The Mirror.

Many had braved the freezing weather to catch a glimpse of the couple but despite the cold Prince William managed to melt hearts when made a sweet comment about his wife of more than 10 years.

After shaking one fan's hand, William pointed towards his wife and said: "She has the coldest hands ever."

And he followed up with: "But they say 'cold hands, warm heart'."

William and Kate's trip to Wales is one of many the often carry out up and down the country and even abroad with Kate visiting Denmark last week and Prince William travelling to Dubai last month.

It's only on rare occasions that their kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis accompany their parents to public events - and most of the time stay at home.

But William revealed the fun family tradition they all like to get involved in before he or his wife has to leave for work.

According to PEOPLE magazine, another well-wisher, local Liz Brewer, asked the prince how his children were getting on.

And he replied: "The children are very well, thank you.

"They are always asking us where we are going. And we show them where we are on the map."

Later this month, the Cambridges will have to make sure they have a world map in order to show George, Charlotte and Louis where they are headed.

That's because they will be travelling to the Caribbean for a week-long trip to help mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The tour starts on March 19 and will take in Belize, Jamaica and The Bahamas before ending on March 26.
