According to sources, the future king has been struggling to keep his composure as he watches Meghan’s recent moves, which appear to mirror aspects of his mother’s legacy.
An insider speaking to RadarOnline revealed, “William keeps a stiff upper lip in public and would never outwardly criticize his brother Harry’s wife, but behind closed doors, he’s beside himself over her copycat behavior.” One instance that reportedly infuriated Prince William was Meghan Markle’s recent Instagram video, where she was seen wearing a blue sweatshirt featuring university lettering.
The outfit bore a striking resemblance to one Princess Diana had famously worn, sparking speculation about Meghan’s motives. While her lower half was not visible in the clip, Diana had originally paired her look with white shorts, making the similarities all the more obvious.
This is not the first time Meghan’s actions have raised eyebrows within royal circles. During the release of the Harry & Meghan Netflix docuseries in 2022, the Duchess of Sussex was seen pointing to an image of Princess Diana above their son Archie’s nursery, asking, “Who’s that?” before adding, “Hi, Grandma? That’s Grandma Diana.”
