Prince William and Kate Middleton have retreated to their vacation home amidst Middleton's battle with cancer. The royal couple, along with their three children, flew via helicopter from Adelaide Cottage in Windsor to Anmer Hall in Norfolk. They will be spending the kids’ Easter school break at the Sandringham Estate property, opting to skip this year’s holiday church service at St George’s Chapel.
Middleton, aged 42, recently disclosed her cancer diagnosis after undergoing abdominal surgery in January. She is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment. The couple decided to announce the news after ensuring their children fully understood Middleton's condition, following a security breach at the hospital where Middleton had her surgery.
Amid Middleton's recovery, she had been keeping a low profile, sparking speculations about her health and whereabouts. However, she clarified her situation by sharing a doctored photo with her children on British Mother’s Day and was later seen shopping with William at a farm stand in Windsor.
King Charles II also revealed his own battle with cancer on February 5, showing support for Middleton's courage in speaking about her diagnosis. The reigning monarch has been in close contact with Middleton, offering love and support during this challenging time. Middleton and Charles had a private lunch to discuss their shared health experiences.
