Being part of the British royal family often means inheriting some pretty lengthy titles, so it's hardly surprising that many royals develop affectionate nicknames for each other to keep things casual at home.
And, it turns out the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who will of course, one day become our king and queen consort, are no different - because addressing each other as Duke and Duchess at the kitchen table would be a bit odd.
The couple are often affectionately referred to as Kate and Wills, instead of their real names, Catherine and William, but at home the royals have rather cheeky nicknames for one another.

When they're relaxing at home, William is said to refer to his wife with two casual nicknames, calling her 'Babykins' and 'DoD' which stands for 'Duchess of DoLittle,' MyLondon reports.
Meanwhile, it's said that Kate teases Wills by calling him 'Baldy' while they're at home - poking fun at his hair loss.
In addition to their cheeky nicknames, the pair have also been overheard using common pet names for each other, just like any other couple. At The Chelsea Flower Show in 2016, the royal couple were heard calling each other 'babe' and 'darling.'
Landscape gardener Charlie Albone told Grazia UK that when Prince William asked his wife about a plant she replied: "Babe, we've got those. We've got loads of those."
Another one of the designers at the show revealed to Hello! that the prince stopped to look at poppies and asked his wife: "Could you make one of these, darling?"
This isn't the only time Prince William has gone by a different name however, as he previously went by the name William Wales, to reflect his father's title, the Prince of Wales.
