Prince William and Kate Middleton braved the rain and yet more choppy waters to face-off against each other in a dramatic Bahamian sloop race.
The royal couple are sailing towards the conclusion of their Caribbean tour which has at times been a bumpy ride.
The spent much of Friday on Montagu Beach, taking part in one of the country's first sailing regattas since the start of the pandemic.
Battling for glory on the water at the Bahamas Platinum Jubilee Sailing Regatta, they went head-to-head to secure a top three podium finish, and got soaked in the heat of battle.
Victorious William took no mercy on his wife's team as he came out on top but got a pat on the back from Kate when they returned to the dock drenched but smiling.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore a light polo shirt and mink shorts, with some straight-forward white trainers while William kept things formal with a shirt, but couldn't resist wearing shorts for the sweaty task in front of him.
They were pictured on the yacht appearing to hold a sail up for cover from the rainy weather as the heavens opened.
It comes after William sparked outrage on the turbulent tour over accusations he echoed Britain's colonist past.
Prince William had previously tried to ease tensions by expressing his “profound sorrow” for Britain’s involvement in slavery.
They put the tour's problems to one side for the wet and wild race, where they were well looked after by the boat's crews.
Before the contest, the pair took a look a huge display of freshly caught fish on the shore on the final leg of their Caribbean tour.
Kate was pictured holding a newborn baby hours before during a royal walkabout as the couple continued their protest-hit tour.
Friday marked William and Kate's first full day in the Bahamas after they spent time in both Belize and Jamaica.
They paid a visit to a school in the Bahamas despite the torrential downpours, which quickly became a theme of the day.
William and Kate greeted crowds who gathered in Parliament Square before attending the Junkanoo Carnival in Nassau.
Children from across the Bahamian islands dialled in to meet Their Royal Highnesses during an assembly at the school on Friday morning.
Schools in the Bahamas were closed for nearly two years as a result of Covid-19.
William and Kate were snapped carrying umbrellas as heavy rain lashed over them upon their arrival.
William quipped: "We seem to have brought the weather with us."
Kate told the youngsters on Friday: "The pandemic has taken you away from your classrooms and your friends and learning from home has had its challenges.
"That is why it is so wonderful that after nearly two years away, you have recently returned to school and been reunited with your teachers and friends again."
The Duchess of Cambridge added: "One of the hardest things that so many of us found about the pandemic was being separated from the people we love.
"We have rediscovered how important our families are, and just how important our friends are."
The Duchess added: "We are so thrilled to be here in the Bahamas, a country that made us feel at home as soon as we set foot on its soil."
The royals' visit to the region has made for an intense several days, including protests in both Belize and Jamaica.
