THAT’S MORE LIKE IT!
If you stuck with me through the rough and tumble early part of this NFL season, it’s been paying off lately, and no week was more lucrative than last week. I went 5-1 on my pick-six in Week 13, coming within 10 yards of a perfect record (I underestimated just how much Matt Ryan would have to pass against the Cowboys).
So, yeah, I’m feeling good going into Week 14. But there’s still a lot of work to do for me to get to .500, and the end of the regular season is quickly approaching. A perfect week would go a long way here.
Week 13: 5-1
2022 record: 32-39
Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: Under 267.5 passing yards (vs. New York Jets)
If Allen hits this over, it would be the most passing yards against New York’s secondary all season. It would also be his most in the last four games. He had 205 yards the first time these teams met.
Dalvin Cook, Minnesota Vikings: Under 15.5 receiving yards (at Detroit Lions)
This is an extremely low line, especially for a game that has the potential to turn into a shootout. But Cook just hasn’t been a big receiving threat this season, and he has more games with fewer than 15 yards than games with more.
Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys: Over 69.5 rushing yards (vs. Houston Texans)
This is also a relatively low line. But that’s considering the potential for this game to turn into blowout. Elliott has hit this over in two straight games, and I think he’ll make it three straight in a game Dallas will be able to run as often as it wants.
Hunter Henry, New England Patriots: Over 31.5 receiving yards (at Arizona Cardinals)
No team in the NFL has allowed more receiving yards to tight ends than the Cardinals. That gives Henry a good shot to eclipse this line for the third time in his last five games.
Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs: Under 273.5 passing yards (at Denver Broncos)
Over the course of four quarters, the Chiefs should beat Denver by a good margin. But between the start and finish, Mahomes won’t have the easiest time picking apart one of the best defenses in the NFL. The Broncos have allowed more than 250 passing yards just once all year.
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions: Over 84.5 receiving yards (vs. Minnesota Vikings)
You know how I mentioned a shootout between the Lions and Vikings? Yeah, that means good things to come for St. Brown, the best receiver on the Lions. His line is a lot lower than Justin Jefferson, which is why I went this direction. And I think he has as good a shot at impacting the game.
