Prince Louis was 'on a sugar high' during Jubilee pageant, says Mike Tindall

Mike Tindall says Prince Louis was 'just wanting to have fun' during the Platinum Jubilee pageant - where his cheeky expressions went viral.

The four-year-old Prince was seen trying to cover his mum's mouth and blowing raspberries in an exuberant display during the Sunday pageant.

Kate Middleton, 40, was seen keeping a close eye on her youngest son - alongside Mike Tindall, who could be seen warning Louis that he was watching him.

The Rugby star, 43, is married to Princess Anne's daughter Zara, and attended all the major royal events over the past few days.

Appearing on his podcast The Good, The Bad and The Rugby, Mike was quizzed about his experience over the four-day celebration by his co-hosts James Haskell and Alex Payne.

As the co-hosts noted that the children were the "star of the show", Mike agreed, adding: "Louis was just wanting to have fun.

"And my two are always mischievous, so it was just trying to keep a lid on it. There were a lot of sweets out back though, so they had complete sugar-highs."

He added: "It was tough for them, they’re all young, asking them to sit in there from two until five is a long time. As any parent knows, you just do whatever needs to be done.”

On the day, Prince Louis was spotted upturning his own nose with his thumb and wandering over to sit on Prince Charles's lap during the show after growing restless.

The young Prince, four, was also spotted dancing in his seat, before pausing to eat a chocolate biscuit.

Supernanny Jo Frost sparked a debate after saying she loved how Kate 'addressed in public' how Prince Louis 'needed to listen and do as told' during the Jubilee celebrations.

Commenting on Instagram, she wrote: ' Love how mum is addressing in public prince Louis needing to listen up and do as his [sic] told.

Meanwhile, his older siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis could be seen watching their younger brother in amusement as they sat in the royal box to watch the pageant.

Mia Tindall could be seen sitting on her father Mike's lap at one point in the concert before seeking a hug from Kate Middleton, while Lena Tindall sat on her cousin Savannah Phillips's lap.

Princess Eugenie could be seen bouncing her baby son August on her lap. The one-year-old was wearing a jumper with a Union flag on the front

On his podcast, the Rugby star said the four day celebration had been a "lovely weekend," adding: "It was outstanding to be fair, it was just great to be a part of.”
