Prince Louis' disappearance from King's Coronation service explained

Many Royal fans will have been delighted to see Prince Louis as he arrived to his Grandfather's Coronation ceremony.

However, those with a keen eye will notice that he wasn't present alongside his parents and his siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at one point during the ceremony.

It has been revealed that it was planned for the five-year-old prince to 'retire' during the service due to his young age, reports the Mirror.

However, he joined his family once again at the end of the ceremony for the procession out of the Abbey and in the carriages for the journey back to Buckingham Palace.

Prince Louis has previously been known for making the nation laugh with his antics at important royal events and today, at his grandfather's Coronation, there was no exception.

At the Platinum Jubilee, the five-year-old was spotted dancing in his seat, pulling funny faces, and cheekily blowing a raspberry at his mother,

Louis was seen yawning and fidgeting during the service for his grandfather the King’s Coronation.

During the first half of the ceremony, he could be seen letting out a big yawn, while also taking the opportunity to point out something of interest to his sister Charlotte.

He yawned again shortly after the King was crowned, just after midday.

Louis arrived at Westminster Abbey in a Garter Blue Doeskin Tunic with specially designed lace work embellishment to the collar, cuffs and fronts.

The tunic was made by bespoke Savile Row tailors Dege and Skinner. The leg garment that the young prince wore is black complete with Garter Blue stripe.

After the ceremony all five of the Wales family joined the procession back to Buckingham Palace behind the gold state coach.
