It wouldn't be a royal affair without little Prince Louis taking centre stage, and King Charles historic Trooping the Colour birthday celebrations were no exception on Saturday.
The five-year-old was spotted being "tidied up" by his mum Kate Middleton.
Known for making his mark at royal engagements with his hilarious facial expressions and unpredictable cheeky behaviour, Louis has become a favourite for many royal fans and a photographer's dream capture.
Princess of Wales Kate and son Louis were joined in a carriage by Queen Camilla, Prince George and Princess Charlotte for the birthday parade from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade to mark Charles's 74th birthday.
When the military precision was finished, the royals boarded the lavish carriages to return to Buckingham Palace for the flypast when Kate shared an adorable moment with her youngest son.
Louis was smartly dressed in a shirt and tie with his trademark shorts, and as they prepared to leave Horse Guards, Kate could be seen appearing to tell the five-year-old to sit up as she fussed with his tie, reports the Mirror.
BBC commentator Huw Edwards further remarked that Kate was "tidying up" Louis before they headed back to the palace.
Prince George was dressed in a suit like his younger brother whilst Princess Charlotte was pictured in a gorgeous red and white dress. The kids eagerly waved to the crowds who had gathered on the Mall, with Louis even tapping his hands along to the music.
Kate Middleton apparently shunned military uniform, despite now being colonel of the Irish Guards after being awarded the title last year and instead wore a green outfit paired with a stunning regimental brooch.
The historic day on Saturday, June 17, marks King Charles being the first monarch in more than 30 years to take part in Trooping the Colour on horseback in what was his inaugural birthday parade.
Charles took the royal salute as Colonel in Chief of the Household Division's seven regiments during the ceremony, staged on Horse Guards Parade, as members of the royal family and 8,000 spectators looked on.
Following the ceremony, the royal family headed back to Buckingham Palace to gather on the balcony to watch an extended military flypast after the display on coronation day had to be scaled down due to bad weather.
