Prince Harry won't be "hidden behind a pillar" when he attends his father King Charles' Coronation, a royal expert has claimed.
Speculation has been mounting on where Harry will be sitting in Westminster Abbey in just two days' time given the frosty relations he has with some of his royal relatives.
He announced several weeks ago he would be attending the historic event - although he will be travelling to the UK solo, with wife Meghan Markle staying behind at their home in California with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
But despite the rocky bond with the likes of his father the King and brother Prince William - royal expert Katie Nicholl believes he will be given a prime seat in the Abbey.
She told True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat: "He can't look like he's been shoved into one of the lesser pews.
"He's a family member, he's the King’s second son, he's coming over for the Coronation, he's not going to be hidden behind a pillar!"
Meanwhile, royal historian and expert Gareth Russell says that where Harry is placed within the Abbey will send a message to the world about how he is being treated by his family.
He explained: "If I was advising [the palace] on PR, I would put [Harry] up close and centre.
"I don't think it will look good [if he's not]. It will look petty, even if it's a reason of state or politics.
"And this is fundamentally not a family reunion, this is an occasion of state and of theology as much as anything else. But this is also something with an eye to the visual, and how it will play out in the world.
"If it looks like the Duke of Sussex is being punished or relegated, it will feed into a potential narrative of the family being seen again as heartless and petty."
The comments come after a source claimed just last week that Harry was "still in the dark" over where he would be sitting for the Coronation.
It has been reported that where Harry would be sitting at the historic event played a key part in his decision on whether to attend or not.
However, one source told Page Six that the prince has still not been told where he is sitting yet.
And they added: "Harry's going to show up to support his dad.
"All I know is that it’s a stretch to ask much more for him … he doesn't have any sort of agenda other than just getting in and getting out."
Meanwhile, it has also emerged that Harry will skip the King’s Coronation concert to fly back home to the US just hours after watching Charles being crowned.
He has told his father he will not stay for the weekend of celebrations following the historic ceremony on May 6.
Now planners will not need to reserve a seat for Harry at the musical extravaganza featuring All Night Long singer Lionel Richie, Take That and Katy Perry.
Instead of attending the May 7 gig at Windsor Castle, he will rush to be with his family in California and belatedly celebrate his son Archie’s fourth birthday, sources revealed.
