Prince Harry is likely to return to the UK for King Charles Coronation alone as Meghan Markle isn't "brave or strong enough to be there", according to one palace insider.
Former royal butler Paul Burrell claims that the King has kept the moral high ground by inviting Harry and Meghan after their revelations in recent months. The 64-year-old added that it will be "incredibly uncomfortable" for them to reunite with the Firm at the Coronation in May - if they decide to go.
"It's likely to be incredibly uncomfortable for them if they attend, particularly Meghan. Are they prepared to face the music?," Paul said.
"I don't think Meghan's brave or strong enough to be there - she'd have to look in the eyes of a family she's pushed under the bus."
"But I think Harry may come alone and she's probably told him she won't be able to be by his side with him if he does attend," Paul added. Paul noted it will be hard for Harry to see his stepmother following the revelations he made in his best-selling memoir Spare, reports the Mirror.
Harry wrote that he and his brother Prince William begged their father not to marry Camilla, Queen-Consort. He also referred to her as "the other woman" and said he feared her being a "wicked stepmother".
Speaking to Closer magazine, Paul said Harry "blamed Camilla for things she didn't do" and said it will be "painful" for him to be at the Coronation following his explosive claims.
A spokesman for the couple revealed: "I can confirm the duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty’s office regarding the Coronation. An immediate decision on whether the duke and duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time."
