Prince Harry may be whisked into the UK for a whistle-stop trip for his father's coronation, it's been claimed.
The Duke is primed to appear at the huge event which will take place on May 6 - coinciding with Archie's fourth birthday - but without Meghan by his side.
Royal insiders claimed his visit will be a 48-hour stay as Meghan stays at the couple's home in California to celebrate their eldest child's big day.
It came amid huge speculation over whether the couple will attend or not, with most reports appearing to suggest the ongoing family rift will be put aside and both to receive an invitation.
But whether or not both - or even just Harry alone - will accept remains to be seen.
Last month's publication of Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, saw him level more accusations against his family, including that his brother the Prince of Wales once pushed him to the ground in a fight about Meghan.
Palace sources told MailOnline that the race to organise the pinnacle event had so far proved "a nightmare", with an original guestlist for the ceremony whittled down from the 8,000 who saw the 1953 crowning of the Queen to 2,000.
Organisers have also had half the time to put plans in place, with 16 months elapsing between Elizabeth II inheriting the throne and being officially crowned.
To invite 8,000 people today, King Charles has been informed, would risk causing damage to Westminster Abbey, with the alternative of St Paul's Cathedral an unfavourable option, given it was where he married Diana.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, who traditionally performs the ceremony, has now reportedly been in talks with the Royal Family over whether to invite the Sussexes in light of the revised guestlist.
According to insiders, the idea has been put forward that the couple would only be likely to accept on the basis of them having a prominent seat and a guarantee Harry would not lose his titles.
