Prince Harry 'told Royal family will not say sorry until he admits his faults'

Prince Harry has been told he can forget about a royal apology until he "admits his fault".

Harry and wife Meghan Markle reportedly want the the Firm to say sorry to them before they consider attending the King’s coronation next year.

New reports this weekend claim that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are demanding a ‘sit-down meeting’ with senior members of the Royal Family in the wake of the release of their explosive Netflix documentary.

The Sussexes are said to want them to ‘take responsibility’ for the pain and damage they put the couple through, The Times reports.

But an apology won't be forthcoming and Buckingham Palace will remain silent until Harry and Meghan also admit they have made mistakes, it is now claimed.

Katie Nichols, Vanity Fair's Royal Editor, says there is no chance the Royal Family will be making the first move.

The author of the New Royals told OK! Magazine: “What needs to happen is an admission that there have been faults on both sides and once there has been that admission, that may pave the way for a reconciliation.

"But Charles knows that a monarchy divided is not a monarchy the world wants to see.

"Harry knows full well William isn’t going to retaliate. I think the Palace’s stance of never complain, never explain in this instance is absolutely the right strategy because if they comment they will only fuel the narrative and allow the story more oxygen to run.

“I think by saying nothing it’s a dignified silence.”

The Palace has refused to comment on Harry and Meghan's documentary, despite the furore it has created.

A source close to the self-exiled royal couple want the meeting to take place before they attend King Charles’ coronation in May.

The outlet reports that the couple were particularly incensed that the Palace facilitated a warm reconciliation meeting between black charity boss Ngozi Fulani, and Lady Susan Hussey, a former lady-in-waiting after a race row.

Harry and Meghan reportedly see this meeting, where Hussey offered her ‘sincere apologies’, as a ‘double standard’ as no such efforts have been made for them.

It was also suggested that they were upset by the lack of a response from the Palace to their numerous allegations that they laid out over the six-episode documentary.

The source said: "Nothing like that was ever done when Harry and Meghan raised various concerns — no meeting, formal apology or taking responsibility or accountability.

"That is hard to swallow — 100 percent yes they’d like to have a meeting.”
