Prince Harry 'to keep dropping bombs' and royal secrets in NEW TV interview

Prince Harry plans to keep divulging royal secrets into the New Year, The Mirror can reveal.

The Duke of Sussex, 38, is mulling over offers from major US TV networks to sit in front of the cameras and promote his memoir Spare in January.

And an insider says CBS morning TV host – and close friend of Meghan ’s – Gayle King is in the “hot seat” for a major interview about his life.

A senior CBS network source confirmed that Harry has held talks to seal a primetime TV interview special.

It could be as explosive as the Sussexes’ bombshell Oprah Winfrey chat.

Harry, through his US publishing arm Penguin Random House, has held talks for a second US TV interview special with US network CBS.

King, 67, attended Meghan’s £160,000 baby shower in New York and backed the Sussexes’ decision to discuss their lives in Netflix series Harry & Meghan.

The potential CBS special would tie in with the release of Harry’s memoir Spare next month. The California-based prince has been deluged with interview offers from global TV firms.

But a source said the couple consider the veteran morning show anchor King “a huge supporter of Team Sussex”.

CBS and Penguin Random House bosses have yet to settle on interview and global syndication deals.

The final three episodes of Harry and Meghan’s controversial Netflix documentary are set to be aired tomorrow.

The source said: “ Prince Harry is not stopping talking when the Netflix series is released. In a month, he will be out on the promotional trail again.

“Unlike now, where Netflix has let the show speak for itself, Random House has him on board for select promotion for the book.

"They invested more than $30m (£24m) in it, so they want it to appeal to as many people as possible.

“Putting Harry on a primetime special with King would be a major coup and attract millions of eyeballs.

"One advantage is that she and Meghan are close. Harry would know he has support from her.”

The source said details of the deal are “very tricky” and CBS executives and King – Winfrey’s best pal – have been trying to keep it under wraps.

Harry may continue to reveal secrets about the Royal Family (Netflix)

Harry’s close friend James Corden is signed to CBS for his Late Late Show.

The source said: “Do not be surprised to see him on that show, but this type of book suits a news-style programme.”

CBS news shows This Morning and 60 Minutes do not pay for interviews.

In the second part of the Netflix show, Harry also talks about his brother William (NETFLIX)

But if CBS was to build a special around Harry, there could be a budget for licensing images, video and locations. It could be made with the Sussexes’ production arm Archewell.

That would open doors for the sales and licensing revenue which could be awarded to charity.

The insider added: “Nothing can be secured really until the dust settles after the Netflix shows. So much could happen, and there could be reaction from the royals.”
