Prince Harry 'swore at Charles' in heated row over money, according to new book

Prince Harry 'swore' at his dad King Charles during a heated argument over money, according to a new royal biography.

The Duke of Sussex reportedly lost his temper with Charles after his demands for funds were not met, and vented in a foul-mouthed rant during a heated phone call. The shocking revelation comes in Robert Jobson's new book, Our King, as he details behind the scenes stories regarding the royal family, The Mirror reports.

Prince Harry documented the breakdown between himself and his family in his memoir Spare, as well as his Netflix series and various TV interviews. Their fiery argument over money has now been revealed as a defining moment, where Harry burnt his bridges with Charles.

Harry had allegedly been contacting the late Queen to discuss financial matters, but she reportedly grew 'weary and tired' of her grandson.

Jobson adds that Harry kept in regular contact with the Queen after he moved Stateside with Meghan Markle and their children.

"Her Majesty found Prince Harry's calls quite difficult and wearisome. She didn't want to interfere in the father/son relationship and would urge him to speak to his father," a source told Jobson.

The late Queen told Harry to go directly to his father instead, but it all ended in disaster when tempers flared during a phone call due to disagreements over money.

"Prince Charles simply stopped taking Harry's calls after his son swore at him and repeatedly asked for funds," according to Jobson. "When the Queen asked Charles why he hadn't given in, he told her that he wasn't a bank."

In another book extract, which is being serialised by the Daily Mail before its release on April 13, it's claimed the late Monarch was frustrated by the Sussexes. Heated text messages between Harry and Prince William confused the Queen as it was reported she thought Harry and Meghan were "quite mad".

Despite always having "great affection" for her grandson, Jobson writes about how the head of the royal family became "tired" listening to the couple's criticisms of the institution.

Queen Elizabeth also thought Harry was "so consumed" by his love for Meghan that it was "clouding his judgment", the royal correspondent added in his book.

It's claimed elsewhere in the book that the walkabout following the Queens death with William, Kate, Harry and Meghan was an "illusion" to symbolise the family were united. The two couples got out of the same car and paid tribute to well-wishers who had lined the streets - with Meghan famously getting a hug from one woman.

A royal source claimed William decided to put months of tension and upset with his brother Harry aside by offering an olive branch to show "unity". Jobson revealed in his book that Kate considered the walkabout "one of the hardest things she's ever had to do".
