Prince Harry shows off necklace broken by William - with charms for his children

Prince Harry has shown off the necklace he claims his brother Prince William broke during a heated argument.

The Duke of Sussex, 38, revealed in his book Spare that in 2019, the now Prince of Wales wrestled him to the floor and broke his necklace in a "physical fight".

In the book, Harry recalled calling his therapist after the argument and revealed his brother had "knocked me to the floor" – while his shirt was "ripped" and necklace was "broken" following the row which felt "different" to their previous arguments.

Now, appearing on The Late Show in the US he was quizzed by host Stephen Colbert about the necklace he claims was broken by his brother, 40.

Host Stephen, 58, asked: "There is a lot of talk about the physical fight that the two of you had, where he pushed you down in the kitchen and broke the dog bowl, when you fell on it.

"It says it broke your necklace. What necklace was it that he broke?"

Harry then replied with: "This one. Which is now fixed."

Harry then lifted the necklace, which had three pendants on, to show the audience.

Host Stephen then asked him to describe the three pendants, as the Duke of Sussex revealed a tribute to his children as two pendants have plaques with cardiograms of Archie and Lilibet engraved on, which were gifted to him by his wife Meghan Markle.

He explained: "It's got my kids' heartbeats, which my wife gave me."

Gesturing to the third pendant, the Duke of Sussex said: "And then a friend of mine in Botswana made this for me, which has got tiger's eye in the middle."

Harry has been photographed wearing the necklace on a number of occasions over the years.

It was previously speculated that the necklace in question had been a gift from his ex-girlfriend Chelsey Davy, whom he dated from 2004 to 2010.

While Harry responded to William by accusing him of 'parroting the press narrative' about his wife before the altercation ensued.

William is said to have apologised to Harry after the brawl and 'looked regretful' before asking his brother not to tell Meghan.

Harry's TV appearance follows an interview on Good Morning America and with Tom Bradby for ITV amid the release of his book, Spare.
