Prince Harry shares unseen photo of him and William amid worsening rift

The world is still reeling from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's docuseries days after the release of its final installment. From the heartbreaking insight into Meghan's miscarriage to the couple's fears for their safety, the series highlighted a number of the serious challenges the pair have faced.

But it also gave fans a glimpse into their romance, from its exciting beginnings through to their joy at becoming parents. With its focus on the pair's past, the series also saw the couple share never-before-seen photos, including snaps from Prince Harry's childhood. One sweet throwback comes in episode five, when the lovebirds look back on their time at Frogmore Cottage.

The photos appear to show the young princes on holiday (Netflix)

As they reminisce about their big move to California in 2020, the pair recall the days spent packing up their Windsor residence.

"We were going through so many boxes just literally looking at everything going, 'Oh my gosh, you bought this blanket I missed, that hat was so funny', just taking it all in," narrates Meghan. "It really gave us a chance to look back at our whole love story."

Meanwhile, a number of throwback photos play across the screen. While each is fascinating, viewers were likely struck by one image in particular which shows the two smiling as they flip through a photobook.

The pictures, arranged in a scrapbook style, appear to show Prince Harry and Prince William on holiday as kids.

Taken by the coast, the snaps show the young princes posing by the sea and using binoculars to look out across the shoreline.

The cute image is a throwback to a happier time for the brothers, who are reportedly not speaking following the fallout from the Netflix show.

As the montage concludes, Prince Harry turns his attention to his own children.

"We always saw Archie running around the garden at Frogmore Cottage and maybe jumping in the Queen's pond, that was all part of our future and everything changed really, really quickly," he adds.

"We knew we were going to get some breathing space from this very painful experience that we'd been stuck in, but also at the same time it was really sad."
