Prince Harry set to appear on The Late Show for an explosive tell-all interview

Prince Harry will make a special guest appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday to promote his debut memoir Spare.

The book, which is also released on Tuesday, includes a string of damaging claims about various members of the royal family, including Harry's brother Prince William.

The Duke of Sussex, 38, claims that his sibling and heir to the throne physically attacked him in a row over Meghan Markle.

William, 40, is also accused of joining their father King Charles III in "looking for a fight" during a confrontation with Harry after Prince Philip's funeral.

Harry's appearance on the CBS late-night show is set to be an explosive tell-all interview about some of the shocking claims made in Spare.

In a teaser for the upcoming interview, host Stephen said: "Tom Hanks is going to be here on Monday, we call that Hollywood royalty.

"But then on Tuesday we have actual royalty because Prince Harry is going to be sitting right there to talk about his new book spare."

The 58-year-old joked: "It's either a gripping tell-all about the royal family, or a book of handy bowling tips. Tune in to find out."

The interview comes after a number of revelations from Harry's controversial memoir have been leaked days early after the book went on sale in Spain.

In Spare, Harry claims Prince Charles told him not to bring his wife to Balmoral on the day the Queen died.

He claims in reaction he told the now-monarch: "Don't ever speak about my wife that way."

Sources close to the royal family have said the Duke of Sussex would be branded a 'traitor' because of Spare, with a former royal staffer saying there would 'never be a way back for Harry'.

The source told The Mirror: “I believe he will never be forgiven. After everything he has said about privacy and intrusion, this is hard to comprehend.

"His words are so vicious and targeted."

"I don’t doubt he still loves his father and his brother but it’s impossible to see how he won’t come to bitterly regret his decision to do this.

"He knows he will be labelled a traitor, by crossing a red line so many times, his father, his brother, the Princess [of Wales] and Camilla, it’s utterly extraordinary."
