Prince Harry 'ready for ANOTHER sit-down interview' ahead of memoir release

Prince Harry is expected to embark on a mega media blitz to promote his tell-all memoir ahead of its release in the new year.

His leading interview will be with CNN anchor Anderson Cooper on January 8, just two days before the book hits the shelves.

The publishers behind 'Spare' have called it a "landmark publication" that will tell Harry's story with "raw, unflinching honesty".

They claim the book will be "full of insight, revelation, self-examination, and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief".

There are fears Harry will use the CNN interview to take aim at the royals and give viewers a preview of some of the more dramatic claims that are to come in the book.

The interview is slated to be broadcast on Mr Cooper's 60 Minutes show on American TV network CBS.

A television source told the Daily Mail : "Mr Cooper has won Harry’s trust. This would be a coup for Mr Cooper and fits well with Harry’s campaign to promote mental health.

"It is a prime-time Sunday show which hosts foreign leaders and presidents. It’s the one that all the politicians and decision-makers watch."

Mr Cooper has campaigned to promote better mental health and has spoken openly about losing his brother Carter to suicide.

The presenter also has experience covering the war in Afghanistan, where Harry completed two tours with the British army.

Mr Cooper previously joked about getting a wave from Prince Harry during his wedding to Meghan in May 2018.

He told viewers: "I was at the Royal Wedding, covering it for CNN.

"‘Our correspondent Max Foster said, 'You should wave at Harry because Harry is going to look up at the bright lights and I bet he’ll wave at you.' The carriage makes a turn. I start waving. Harry looks up at the tower, we make eye contact and he waves. I almost died."

Harry's new book comes on the heels of a bombshell Netflix documentary in which he accused his father King Charles of saying things that "just simply weren't true", alleged that royal press offices were briefing against him and Meghan, and called his brother William "terrifying".

Relations between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family are at rock bottom following the new docuseries (Netflix)

Despite being bruised by his son's remarks, Charles is reportedly being urged not to strip the Sussexes of their titles and is instead seeking to take a reconciliatory approach to the situation.

"The hope is that once the dust has settled the family will be able to move on and put the past behind them,” a Palace source said.

The source said of The King: “He loves both his sons and hope springs eternal for a happier future all round. If some can stop fixating on the past.”

Asked about the possibility of The King extending an olive branch, they added: “Let’s see how things evolve.”

Despite the Netflix turmoil, it has been reported by the Daily Telegraph that Harry and Meghan will still be invited to the King’s coronation on May 6.

However, Harry and Meghan are said to want an apology from the royal family before they will consider attending the Coronation.
