Prince Harry says he wants his children to have relationship with royals

Prince Harry has said he wants his children to have relationships with members of the royal family.

On the day his memoir Spare is released in the UK, further revelations about the Duke of Sussex have emerged.

Harry, who has two children - Archie, 3, and daughter Lilibet, 19 months - said in an interview: “I've said before that I've wanted a family, not an institution—so of course, I would love nothing more than for our children to have relationships with members of my family, and they do with some, which brings me great joy.”

In the tell-all book, which was published on Tuesday, the prince also accuses his brother William of pushing him to the floor while he has said he is not sure if he will attend the coronation ceremony for his father King Charles III.

The extract of the interview was published by People magazine ahead of a longer read this Friday. In this, Harry also describes his gratitude that his children were able to spend some time with the Queen before her death.

The Duke of Sussex said of the book: “I want people to read my memoir and come to their own conclusions—I don't want to tell anyone what to think of it and that includes my family.

“This book and its truths are in many ways a continuation of my own mental health journey. It's a raw account of my life—the good, the bad and everything in between."

Harry told People he is happy with the life he is now leading.

“I'm looking ahead and am optimistic for what's to come. I have a beautiful and blessed life—one that comes with a platform, and with it responsibility that Meghan and I plan to use wisely.

"I feel I am exactly where I am meant to be and exactly where we [my family] are meant to be. I don't think I could have written this book otherwise."
